Rant and Rave

Hello this is Quiet Mouse
this is my rant and rave
so sit down, shut up
Don't ask me to behave
I work my ass off
but feel like a slave
I like being a hair monkey
I'm never gonna shave
constantly need money
how can I ever save
when I'm spending all I make
every dime that I have
no thanks from the world
for all that I gave
Happiness is now my search
with the Buddha on my side
I don't have to run any longer
or find a place to hide
Can't go anywhere now,
but at least I have a ride
instead I sit alone
thinking of whats on the inside
introspective simple
meditiation on my mind
deep inside my soul
the answers I will find
but for the moment all I can do
is get my frustrations out in rhyme
all day alone, sitting, wishing, thinking
with an infinite amount of time.
Keep on reading, keep on studying
keep your business out of mine
no need for drama or violence
only love, peace and the devine.

This has been the Quiet Mouse...

A Life of Boredom

We seem as humans to find regular life boring, so we create drama and emotional instability. We have fallen so far from our basic human behavior of being hunters and gatherers... oh but we always forget that there are and have always been 2 other types of people: warriors and politicians (swindlers and crooks).
Think about it like a yin/yang... it's the constant battle of what is right and good (hunters & gatherers) vs. the unjust, malicious, sociopathic, and just plain evil (often personified by the warriors and politicians).
But there has to be and ebb and flow in the force of nature, the cosmic ocean... or the water gets stagnate and people get bored. Boredom is like idle hands being the devil's playground, thus we have near constant wars. Some boys just never grew up out of the sandbox always with the toys being mine, mine, mine.
They are still playing G.I. Joe except it's someone else's kids that go invade someone else's country in a for-profit war that was instigated under a guise lies and deceptions. Added with fraud, waste, and negligence that puts us already at a VERY heavy toll.
So I guess there's not enough action going on so we have to ;) "Wag the Dog" and invent a war. Except here's the part where the problem comes in... well let's list a couple shall we?
1. Even though the wars are unconstitutional we are stuck there because we have completely destabilized their countries infrastructure and economy.
2. We've pissed off all our allies and acted like schoolyard bullies with our dominating military presence in all corners of the globe... NOW the Middle East
3. Since we DID invade 2 countries, it's kinda understandable that they DON'T WANT US THERE. Period!!
"Terrorists" are created daily as innocent citizens of foreign lands attempt to defend their homes from INVADERS who are SOLELY there to supervise the theft of billions of dollars of natural resources including the blue crystal that powers the blu-ray revolution that can only be found ONE place on the entire planet: Afghanistan... All our "modern advancements" have been at the expense and exploitation of one brown people or another. TRUTH.

Technology is a myth... It does not and is not meant to simplify your life, but rather to complicate it. The technology is becoming a burden to society dumbing down the masses and damaging the basic human bond with the force, the universal spirit.
I suspect that damage is added to the negativity produced from shockingly gruesome and ritualistic animal slaughter. Red meat fuels human anger and aggression... and it tastes good, but still...
Well... it could always be caused by the chemical poisoning we get from vaccines, our tap water, and crop dusted poisons into the air in the form of chem trails?
But I figured it out... here or in a foreign country the goal is the same. Urbanization and depopulation of rural areas where farming is life. In a city it is easier for them to police and pacify you. Like everything else, it is going the way of industrialization with our food. If they control the food, they control what goes in it, how much it costs, and everyone needs to eat, so basically they control YOU too. If they control the food, they control the world. The same thing goes with water, the basic necessity of life, so precious, so pure.
Meanwhile all of our technology that alleviates BOREDOM is distracting YOU from the simplistic and obvious truth... the answer is NOT to over-complicate, but rather to simplify, meaning letting go of attachment to things and realizing that the only thing with true value is us. We ARE the 5th element, the force. When we open our minds and take off our shoes we can feel it.
But... the world is a tumultuous spiral headed in a direction that is ultimately unsustainable and unattainable. We live on a finite planet. If the people in charge were really smart they would realize that the jungles and wilderness areas would be best served intact. Beyond the countless jungle animals, there are also thousands of plants with medicinal properties.
Here's a thought... we have to wear shoes so we cannot receive the energy from the Earth. Barefoot in the grass and dirt is where we feel the most alive. That's why they don't want us farming and growing our own food. It strengthens our natural bond and frees us from the captivity of technology and distraction away from the obvious truth that we are slaves to the technology. We are jacked into the Matrix. It is only when we unplug do we actually find the REAL meaning of your life: You ready???

Leave the world a better place than it was before you

This is why we must have adversity because it takes humans adversity to realize the necessary knowledge & lessons that cause us to keep us attached to the false idols of this materialistic world. And the people we call "BUMS", maybe they are just liberated and free?

The measure of a man is not what he has, but what he shares with others and what he gives back.
Good men have been blind, but can be healed.
What if a bad man in this life becomes a bug in infinite afterlives being stepped on again and again?
Each of us has a destiny of our own, each not the same, but each equally as vital to the system... however the system is broken and there is nowhere else for us to go. The ONLY thing we NEED to do is simplify. Life is only difficult because we have made it that way.
This is what we have become...

Divorced and single again

Hello once again my friends, followers, and open minded knowledge seekers! Well, if you don't know me by now, I AM the one and only Quiet Mouse.
I think society gets the idea that all men are misogynistic assholes and incapable of true feelings of relationship pain. A lot of people are confused and believe that EVERY man is constantly looking for something better, as if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.
Perhaps this is true... maybe it ISN'T true either. I think truth is all a matter of perspective. Most of things just ARE... WE are the ones, as humans, who feel the constant need of labeling everything and we also feel the need to over-complicate many many things, especially relationships.

So I am gonna state some of the thoughts of men, and I do not necessarily support or condone the theories here... just sharing info:
1. "Commitment and monogamy are a woman's idea"
In the animal kingdom (which we DO belong, by the way) there are only a few other animals that mate for life. There are many more species that the under-riding function is reproduction and propagation of the species... however as humans we have the ability, although not necessarily the brains, to defy our basic instincts and CHOSE a life more meaningful than the sharing of fluids in our genitals... again, some people do NOT possess this ability to STOP having kids... or maybe it's their fucked up archaic, outdated religion that tells them to "be fruitful and multiply" so they have more kids than they can monetarily handle.
2. Women outnumber men on this planet
It is about 60% women and 40% men on this planet. Why? Well, women naturally have a longer lifespan than most men. This is in addition to WAR, prison, and other factors that limit the number of available men to be potential baby's daddy's.
3. All women are bitches.
I don't support this theory, but I also do NOT like when a woman feels like she has to be proud of her insecurity and hatefulness towards men. It is NOT the next guys fault that you were hurt by other men in the past. PERIOD. A lot of women run off a good man because of hateful talk and actions based on previous relationships. This goes both ways since both sides act like they are justified in their heinous actions towards those of the opposite gender.
4. Sex is the most important thing in a relationship.
There is no doubt that physical attraction is pivotal to the beginning of a relationship. This is pretty basic on our human instincts. However on a Freudian level, if everything is about sex and aggression then why the pretentiousness and faking of it all. People need to get rid of the "Wonder-where-the-fuck-they-went" bra's, the fake eyelashes, the tube sock in the pants, implants, plastic surgery, and all the other bullshit that is NOT who you really are. Let's be honest, looks and pretentious ideas like weight can and DO change. Everything changes in life, people WILL get old and wrinkly. It happens despite how much people work out or wear the special make-up. At the end when all is said and done we ALL have to face the person in the mirror and we ALL have to talk to the person laying in the bed next to us.

Okay, so my synopsis is that the majority of people are afraid and insecure of the opposite gender. But like what I said about the green grass earlier is this: it's the same grass on BOTH sides of the fence, it's just the shadow that changes your perspective of what your lawn looks like that is skewed.
Also, NOT every man wants to be single OR divorced. Like many women, men are also led to believe from Disney movies, books, and society that love will be everlasting and true. This is a LIE. Any relationship from marriage to parenthood, or vice versa, a child to parent relationship requires lots of EFFORT!!
Most people in this day and age of wastefulness, anger, and disappointment are confused because life is NOT a Disney movie or some cheese-ball romance novel that is written by a woman. Life, like relationships takes a lot of effort and the sad fact is that a lot of people (men and women) are NOT willing enough to put out the effort it takes to repair the rifts that WILL eventually form in a relationship. A man and a woman will NEVER agree on everything. It just will not happen, and besides, wouldn't life be boring if we all thought the same way?
So back to the divorce part: making mistakes is part of the life experience and NO, not everyone that gets married is actually MEANT to last forever... as if we really have a concept of that depth of time and space anyway, hahahahaha
But Quiet Mouse, me and my man have been together for years and we never fight...
I say fantastic! Congrats that you have been able to find that ONE person to give you unconditional love. I personally feel that the very idea of unconditional love grows with maturity. Unfortunately our sexual hormones do NOT go quite so slowly.
It DOES take adversity and strife for us all to have a basis for comparison to appreciate the good times. It also DOES suck when you want to be with that forever person but are all alone in the world. What's worse is that many people assume that because a man is divorced that he WANTS to be separated from his children too. Granted there ARE a lot of asshole losers out there who do NOT take care of their children, but it isn't the same for everyone. WE, myself included, all need to stop generalizing and making presumptuous thoughts about who and what a MAN is. A REAL MAN is the one who takes care of his kids despite divorce or separation from the mom.
The world DOES need more men to stand up and act like a real man and take care of those kids. But what happens when the man DOES want that relationship with his children and has to fight with the kids mom to get adequate visitation time?
Questions ring through all the time, but sometimes answers aren't always so clear

As for me, the Quiet Mouse... I've made more than my fair share of mistakes in relationships. Do I enjoy being single again after many years of marriage? Not really. Am I glad to be out of that relationship with the ex? Of course, but lets make a distinction here: even though I do not want a relationship with this person, does NOT that I wish any ill will or pain, NONE AT ALL. In fact I wish her the most happiness in the world. I hope she is able to find that special someone too one of these days. More importantly is that I did NOT get divorced from my kids, only their mom. Remember that fellas.

Final thoughts would be that I think people need to work on themselves first and foremost before being able to accept and share their life with someone else. Communication IS paramount for making let alone keeping a relationship. Work on how you talk to one another and please please please heed this next line.
If you treat yourself like a whore or slut... guess what??? That is EXACTLY how you will be treated back by others.

This has been the Quiet Mouse once again!! Keep your hearts open, honest, and secure... you DON'T need a relationship for this, but if you DO have it... it WILL make your future relationships that much the better. And you MUST love yourself before you can invite someone to join hands with you. This doesn't have to be selfish, in fact altruism is much more potent of an emotion.
Peace. Love. Truth. Respect. Honesty.

The 8 Veils of Slavery

Hello once again! Welcome back! It is the one and only Quiet Mouse ready to open your mind and free you from the Matrix of illusion and deceit. Now this is not an original idea from me, but I have read it many times and I want to share and perhaps help you think of things that you had previously not thought of. Sometimes in life we never think of the obvious, but then we hear it and it's like the light bulb going on above our heads like "AHA!"
So let's not waste any time and jump right into this heavy shit...

1. The First veil
With over 6.5 billion people on this planet, Earth, over 90% will live and die without having seriously contemplated anything other than what it takes to keep their daily lives together... nothing short of basic survival instinct

2. The Second veil
10% will pierce the first veil to explore the world of history, the relationship between man and government and the meaning of self-government through Constitutional and common law to find the world of POLITICS, be active, VOTE, and have an educated opinion. These opinions are shaped by the physical world around us; people have a tendency to accept that government officials, network media personalities, and other so-called "experts" are voices of authority.
-90% of people in this group will live and die without having pierced the second veil

3. The Third Veil
10% of those behind the second veil will pierce through it to find that the resources of the world, INCLUDING PEOPLE, are controlled by the extremely wealthy and powerful families whose incorporated old world assets have, with modern extortion strategies (gambling, Wall-Street, banking, credit cards etc.), become the foundation upon which the world's economies are currently indebted
-90% of people in this group will live and die without having pierced the third veil

4. The Fourth Veil
10% of those people will pierce through to the 4th veil to discover the Illuminati, Freemasons, Jesuits, Skull & Crossbones, and other secret societies. These secret societies use symbology and perform ceremonies that perpetuate the generational transfers of arcane knowledge that is used to keep the ordinary people in political, economic, and spiritual bondage to the oldest bloodlines on Earth.
-90% of people in this group will live and die without having pierced the 4th veil.

5. The Fifth Veil
10% of those people who pierce through to the 5th veil to learn that the secret societies are so far advanced technologically that controlling the actions of people is what their members do as offhandedly as we tell our kids when they must go to bed.
-90% of people in this group will live and die without having pierced the 5th veil.

6. The Sixth Veil
10% of those people will pierce through to the 6th veil to where demons, aliens, and fallen angels we thought were the fictional monsters of childhood literature are REAL and are the controlling forces behind these secret societies.
-90% of the people in this group will live and die without piercing the 6th veil.

7. The Seventh Veil
10 % of those people will pierce through to the 7th veil. By this point most have found God and strive to become a people so enlightened that they brighten the world around them NO MATTER WHAT.

8. The Eighth Veil
Piercing through this veil reveals the true nature of God and (his) pure energy that is the life force of ALL living things.

If the math is accurate, there are ONLY about 60,000 people on the entire planet who have pierced through to the 6th veil. The irony here is too incredible. Those who are stuck behind veils one through five have little choice but to view the people who HAVE pierced the veils beyond them as INSANE. With each veil pierced exponentially shrinking numbers of increasingly enlightened people are deemed INSANE by exponentially increasing masses of decreasingly enlightened people.

-Behind the first 2 veils we find the great majority of people on the planet. They are TOOLS of the State. Second veilers are the gullible voters whose ignorance justifies the actions of politicians who send off first veilers to DIE in foreign lands as cannon fodder. Their combined stations in life are to believe that the self-serving machinations of the power-elite are matters of national security worth DYING for.

-Third, fourth, fifth, and sixth veilers are of increasing liability to the State because of their decreasing ability to be used as tools to consolidate power and wealth of the many into the hands of the power-elite. It is common for these people to sacrifice MORE of their relationships with friends and family, their professional careers and personal freedom with every veil they pierce

-So now we know that it's not that our countrymen and women are so committed to their lives that "they don't want to see" the mechanisms of their enslavement and exploitation. They simply "CAN'T SEE" as surely as I cannot see what's on the other side of a closed curtain.

-The purpose of this discourse is:
1. To help the handful of people in the latter veils to understand why the masses have little choice but to interpret their clarity as INSANITY.
2. To help people behind the first two veils understand that living, breathing, and thinking are JUST THE BEGINNING.
3. To show people that the greatest adventure of our lives is behind the NEXT veil because that is just one less veil between ourselves and God, the creator of all life.

Keep the peace and love alive!

5 Best Current Actors

Hello and welcome back to the Quiet Mouse strikes back. I know it's been a while and for that I do sincerely apologize, my friends. I basically took the summer off to spend with my kids working on becoming a better man and father... I'm sure since we are all adults and this IS an adult blog, I'm sure you will all understand.
Let's not get hung up on details here, because I could go on and on about nothing like Seinfeld for an hour, so let's take this journey into the movies once again since those who know me know how much of a movie buff I am. This list is NOT inclusive of all the good actors out there, OR all of the said actors best movies...
Now bear in mind as always, these are MY opinions... so don't hate

1. Johnny Depp
Hits include: the Pirates of the Caribbean series as Captain Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissor-Hands, Sweeny Todd, Alice in Wonderland, Rango, the Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Blow, Chocolat, and the masterful portrayal of Hunter S. Thompson in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

2. Tom Hanks
This fantastic actor claims roles in: Big, Toy Story 1, 2, &3 as Woody, Dragnet, the Money Pit, Castaway, Forrest Gump, the Green Mile, Saving Private Ryan, the Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, and more...

3. Harrison Ford
He is one of MY very favorite actors since childhood. I grew up watching his films including:
Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Cowboys & Aliens, Blade Runner, Air Force One, Clear & Present Danger, the Fugitive, Witness, Presumed Innocent, et. al

4. Robert Downey Jr.
Often controversial, I truly believe this man belongs on this list with films like:
Iron Man 1 & 2, the hilarious Due Date, Sherlock Holmes, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Back to School, the Soloist, and Chaplin

5. Leonardo DiCaprio
With blockbusters like Titanic and Inception this man deserves a spot on this list for sure in addition to films like: the Departed, Shutter Island, Blood Diamond, The Beach, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Catch Me if You Can, and the classic Romeo + Juliet

The hardest part of thinking about this list is the people who didn't make the top 5... so with due recognition and a TIE for #6 we have 4 actors that deserve recognition
Bruce Willis
Jeff Bridges
Liam Neeson
Daniel Craig

I want to finish off this blog by listing some of Hollywood's BEST actors that are under rated and often forgotten, but are each blessed with a huge amount of talent
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy, Guy Pierce, Mark Strong, Thomas Hayden-Church, and Matthew Fox
If you don't know who any of these actors are, I suggest you crawl out from under that rock you've been living under, lol... OR you could just look them up. IMDB.com (Internet Movie Data Base) has filmographies for all these actors.
Like always... see you at the movies my friends, this has been the Quiet Mouse.
Peace. Love. Truth. Respect.

Summer Movies

Welcome back. This is the Quiet Mouse once again. Today I want to talk about movies, especially since it is coming up upon summer when it is "movie season".

First I want to start by saying DAMN! It's hella expensive to go see a movie in the theater these days and to be honest the movies that have come out recently haven't really been all that alluring. To be quite honest it seems to me like the quality of cinema has degraded exponentially since the 80's and 90's. I say it like that because now that it is 2011, it seems like the only thing Holly wood wants to produce is either remakes of older movies OR live action representations of old cartoons like Yogi Bear and Transformers. What's next, He-man? I even saw a trailer recently that they are remaking Conan the Barbarian. Okay, I was and am an Arnold Schwarzenegger fan (although I DID laugh when I heard he wants to do yet ANOTHER Terminator movie as the star... and he's in his 60's now), but the new dude they got to play Conan looks like a weenie compared to Arnold. But seriously, NOTHING is sacred any longer. Some things just don't need a remake, let alone many more repeated box office failures. It seems like the other alternative is one of two things: the same recycled story told slightly different or its grotesquely gory since Americans are so desensitized to the violence as we are inundated with it in our media constantly.
So for THIS summer, once again, the popular movies are comic strip heroes and sequels. There are a very few that I think look semi-worthy to go see, but that leads me to another issue. Why should people go directly to the theater to see a film when, in this digital age, the turnaround from theater to video is so damn fast. I remember being a kid and having to wait between 6 months to a year for a title to come out for home video. Now it is more like a couple of months and often the movies are STILL in the theater when the video is released for home viewing. With the inception of Redbox and Netflix along with all the other streaming video sites on the internet added on to the downloading capability of the X-box and PS3... there almost seems to be no need for theaters any longer. I personally don't desire to spend $6 for a bucket of stale greasy popcorn or $5 for a watered down soda. The most promising movie concept in recent memory is the movie grill idea where you can go and get a beer and dinner with your movie. STILL it is highly pricey, but if you have a dinner date, it's like killing 2 birds with one stone, I suppose.
Okay, so onto the summer movies now.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides
my vote is to see in the theater. Johnny Depp is the best actor in Hollywood right now. He doesn't make too many bad movies (except for for Sweeny Todd)

Kung Fu Panda 2
I think I will for sure take the kids to see this one. The first one was hilarious.
Super 8 I think I will go see too

Some others that look decent are the follow up to the finale of Harry Potter, although I have to say how unrealistic the writing of these storys have been. No other high school in the world would be like that. I understand it is fiction, but they forgot the important plot points of drunken partys and underage sex... just saying...
Captain America might be okay, but will probably be a video rental. Same goes with X men, Cowboys & Aliens, the Hangover 2.

Now for the WORST lineup of the summer:
Mr. Poppers penguins with Jim Carrey
Green Lantern
Zookeepr
The Smurfs
Planet of the Apes
Fright Night
and last but not least Final Destination 5... as if that series needed another sequel

Overall I give this summers choices a C-
You guys make your own choices and spend wisely. It might be better to go to the cheaper $3 show or just wait to rent it in a couple months. Either way, my friends I will see you in the movies ;)

This is the Quiet Mouse.
Peace. Love. Respect. Truth.

Royal Wedding

So welcome back my fellow friends, family, and knowledge seekers to another episode of QM strikes back.
Today I want to go hard on an issue that is just flat out pissing me off. Unless you live under a rock in a cave, I'm sure that you have been inundated with the near constant coverage of the media for the royal wedding between Prince William (Why the fuck don't we know the royal family's last names??? It just so happens to be(born William Arthur Philip Louis on 21 June 1982)) and Kate Middleton.

I am sure that Kate is a lovely woman. I have no official opinion on the state of her character, because I do not know her and I wasn't invited to the wedding, nor would I go even if I had the money and time. Anyway...
Just about every time I turn on the radio the last couple of weeks someone is on air talking about how they think this royal wedding is so exciting and whatnot. Not only do I not give a shit because it is all pomp and circumstance, but here's the real kicker... you ready?

July 4, 1776
Why is this date so important? This is the date of America's independence from the monarchy of Great Britain.
I know that stupid youngsters don't give a rats ass about history, but I feel that this one NEEDS to be said. I was watching a web cast from Alex Jones last night and it got me thinking about what's going on with this nation. Apparently too many people have forgotten what our ancestry fought and died for in the Revolutionary War!
Here's the problem and here's where it gets a little crazy to me: NOTHING has changed about the royal family. NOTHING. There might be newer faces in the monarchy now than there were in the late 1700's, but the policy and agenda is still the same. For me it breaks down like this. The royal family represents a bygone age of tyranny and oppression that has been clung onto for far too long. The founding fathers of America fought and died for the belief of a life BETTER than one of subservience to the crown of England.
For a while now, and a lot of this is through the American media, the monarchy has been turned into an almost celebrity status as movie stars and musicians have gone overseas to be "knighted" or otherwise honored by a woman who has servants to wipe her ass.
So this celebrity status associated with royalty is not a new idea. I get the whole deal with little girls wanting to be princesses and whatnot. The main problem that I have with the whole situation is that these people are all inbred ass-clowns. If they lived in Arkansas, Kentucky, or West Virginia, no one would think twice about this nonsense and would laugh and make fun of them for being inbred like the trailer trash that they are. The ONLY difference is that the people over there in England are one of the richest families in the world, mainly because they get paid off the top like a politician from the taxes of the British people. The whole idea of monarchy is outdated and obsolete, yet they cling onto their power like the leaches that they are because they see US, the common people, as being much much less of human beings than they are. Money and power have a perverted way of changing how people see their fellow humans. The royal family views are not indifferent to the American aristocracy of money, fame, and power that look down on the rest of us as well.
My biggest question, I suppose, is WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE SO ENAMORED BY THIS EXTRAVAGANCE AND IGNORANCE? Have we all forgotten the oppression and hatefulness that the crown held against the U.S.? Have we forgotten that WE had to bail THEM out during not just WWI, but also WWII?
What is worse to me is that even the British are getting tired of the monarchy which hails in ITS ancestry from... here it comes, here it comes... GERMANY!
But wait a minute, QM, I don't get it?
Remember the Nazis. The crown was a big supporter of Nazi Germany until they got a little too ambitious. The crown of England has been ALL ABOUT world domination for a long long time now. The New World Order is NOT a new idea... it IS the same OLD WORLD ORDER from the U.K. and German ancestry that came up to the Northern part of Europe after the fall of the Holy Roman Empire.

You can make your own decisions, my friends, but I chose NOT to support the tyranny and oppression of royal families and monarchies alike. Those inbreeding bastards can KEEP their traditions and their elaborate fancy weddings.
This has been the Quiet Mouse.
Peace. Love. Truth. Respect. Down with the tyrannical oppressors!!

Love Bank

Hello once again. Welcome back my friends, family, loved ones, and fellow knowledge seekers, it is I, the Quiet Mouse, back after a short hiatus of family emergency.
I'm gonna start by taking an excerpt from www.marriagebuilders.com

Inside all of us is a Love Bank with accounts in the names of everyone we know. When these people are associated with our good feelings, "love units" are deposited into their accounts, and when they are associated with our bad feelings, love units are withdrawn. We are emotionally attracted to people with positive balances and repulsed by those with negative balances. This is the way our emotions encourage us to be with people who seem to treat us well, and avoid those who seem to hurt us.
The emotional reactions we have toward people, whether attraction or repulsion, is not a matter of choice. Love Bank balances cause them. Try "choosing" to be attracted to those you associate with some of your worst experiences -- it's almost impossible. Or try to feel repulsed by those associated with your best feelings. You do not decide whom you will like or dislike -- it's their association with your feelings, whether they have made Love Bank deposits or withdrawals, that determines your emotional reactions to them.
We like those with positive Love Bank balances and dislike those with negative balances. But if an account reaches a certain threshold, a very special emotional reaction is triggered -- romantic love. We no longer simply like the person -- we are in love. It's a feeling of incredible attraction to someone of the opposite sex.
The feeling of love is the way our emotions encourage us to spend more time with someone who takes especially good care of us -- someone who is effective at making us very happy and knows how to avoid making us unhappy. We would certainly want to spend time with someone we simply liked, but by giving us the feeling we call love, our emotions give us added motivation. We find ourselves not only wanting to be with the person, but also craving that person. When we are together we feel fulfilled, and when apart we feel lonely and incomplete. So the feeling of love is usually effective not only in drawing people together for significant amounts of time, but also in encouraging them to spend their entire lives together in marriage.
But our emotions give us more than the feeling of love. When they identify someone who makes us happy, they also motivate us to reciprocate by encouraging us to make that person happy. They do this by making it seem almost effortless to do what makes most of us the happiest. Have you ever noticed that when you are in love, you seem instinctively affectionate, conversant, admiring and willing to make love? That's because your emotions want to keep that person around, so it gives you instincts to help you make that person happy which, if effective, triggers his or her feeling of love for you. The "look of love" not only communicates our feeling of love for someone, but also reflects our instinct to do whatever it takes to make that person happy.
When a man and woman are both in love, their emotions encourage them to make each other happy for life. In fact, the thought of spending life apart is usually frightening. It seems to them that they were made to be together for eternity. In almost every case, a man and woman marry because they are in love, and they are in love because their love bank balances are above the romantic love threshold.
But what goes up can usually come down, and love bank balances are no exception. As most married couples have discovered, the feeling of romantic love is much more fragile than originally thought. And if Love Bank balances drop below the romantic love threshold, a couple not only lose their feeling of passion for each other, but they lose their instinct to make each other happy. What was once effortless now becomes awkward, and even repulsive. Instead of the look of love, couples have the look of apathy. And without love, a husband and wife no longer want to spend their lives together. Instead, they start thinking of divorce, or at least living their lives apart from one another.

Okay, so I think we can agree to what that website has said, but I want to take it one step further and equate the idea on a societal level. I know I have said this before, but I find it amazingly ironic that we are in this supposed age of technological revolution. With sites like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, MyYearbook, and many many more along with cell phones, texting and minute by minute updates of a person's life, one might think that human communications have reached some sort of apex... however the truth is much more shocking (at least to me). For all the advances in communications, people are more distant, apathetic, and detached from one another than any other time I can think of in history. A person used to be able to just walk down the street and say hi to others without being looked at like a freak or having to worry about getting his/her ass kicked. Why is this so?

I knew you were curious and would ask, so I came up with my own answer: The love bank.
In my opinion, American society in particular is nearly completely devoid of love. Before you go barking up my tree allow me to explain if you will.
Here's the deal. I think it doesn't take a rocket scientist or an advanced degree to follow my logic when I say that the Love deficit for most Americans (and others in the world too) is directly linked with the monetary deficit that we face as well. My point is that people seem to feel this insatiable need to fill the void or lack of love with material possessions, often times ones they cannot afford such as expensive houses, cars, and technological gadgets. I also believe that this void is filled with alcohol, tobacco, drug use, gambling, and sexual deviancy, among other vices.
The reality is that each and every one of us as humans has the innate NEED, call it an instinct if you will, to find love and happiness in our lives. Too many people mistake SEX for love. These two are NOT the same, however true pure LOVE WILL lead to a better sex life.

I think apathy and materialism are the antithesis of real love. Many people are fearful of finding love because they equate the feeling with negativity. Let me explain. Men in particular are fearful of finding real love because there is a social financial expectation from American women. The MAJORITY of American women expect fancy gifts like jewelry or romantic dinners for all of these silly Hallmark holidays that are accentuated for mainstream corporate profits, unrealistic expectations, and the overall dissatisfaction and detachment between men and women.
If we could get past the desire for more and more materialism, past the carnal sexual desires, and move to a state of intimacy and communication, then and only then perhaps we can begin to repair this rift between the genders. Same thing goes for same sex couples as well. We ALL have a love bank that needs to be repaired. Think of it like a piggy bank, except too many people have theirs smashed with a hammer. Love IS the super glue to repair your love piggy bank.
Also, I think a lot of people are addicted to relationships (notice how I did NOT say love here). It seems to me that a lot of people, both men and women are addicted to the IDEA of being in a relationship, mainly for financial stability it seems, but are NOT actually interested in the person they are with (EVERYONE has problems and issues, that IS part of being human). I think the word "love" itself has been thrown around too much by fly-by-night relationships. What is worse is that these same people that throw this word around casually are ONLY trying to fill a void in their own persona. The ONLY way to have true love in your life is to first and foremost love the man or woman in the mirror!! If you can't even look in the mirror without disgust... how on Earth do you plan on making someone else happy or feel loved??? Happiness, similar to love is obviously NOT a universal experience. Many people do not even recognize the signs of happiness or love when they are faced with it. Loving someone does NOT mean that you have to be all glossy-googly-eyed at one another 24/7. Love does NOT need constant affirmation (insecurity DOES). No wonder people feel disconnected with the idea of love when the person who said that says that they love you is the one who hurts you the most. It doesn't have to be this way.

I am gonna end this blog in a moment, but I want you to think about being KIND to one another. You don't have to be in an intimate romantic relationship to feel or give love out to others. Sharing kindness, empathy, and happiness with others (even strangers) IS the key to a happy life. There is a harmony and homeostasis in the world, so please understand that there is no love without the opposite feelings of fear, hate, and insecurity. We ALL have to experience strife and adversity to have a basis for comparison so we will appreciate the good times. Learn from the bad, take the good and become a better person. Find the middle road, even if you don't believe the teachings of the Buddha or the Bible.
Also remember that you do NOT need a special holiday to spread love and joy to others. Make today, tomorrow, and EVERY other day your day to lift your fellow man and loved ones UP rather than pulling them down with insecurity, fear, and hatred.
This has been the Quiet Mouse. Keep the love alive by being a better person. Love is NOT asking for more material possessions or receiving, but love is about GIVING and reciprocating, NOT Hallmark holidays!
Peace. Love. Respect. Truth.

My Cats Worship the Refrigerator

Hello my friends and welcome back to another edition of the Quiet Mouse Strikes Back.
Today I want to bring a funny light to animal behavior, namely cats once again.

Have you ever noticed how aloof cats are sometimes? Often it seems that they only want your attention when THEY want it, and on many occasions this is at an inopportune time for us human slaves, such as when we are making dinner. Inevitably it seems that as soon as you open the refrigerator, the cats come around...
Or sometimes it is when you open a can of tuna. THEN they want your undivided attention, clawing their way up your clothing leaving little holes as they go, all the way to climbing down your arm to reach the tuna treat.
However, it seems that most of the time, like bad kitties, they just jump up on the counter and take what they think to be their property already. Meow!! Meow!! Meow!!
I think that cats must worship the fridge because it is the only place in the house that cats cannot readily get into lacking the proper higher order opposable thumbs that humans and primates possess.

I guess to the point, I don't mind giving the fuzzy little monsters a treat on occasion. I even have them trained in a very Pavlovian way to come to me when I whistle loudly because they believe they will get a treat. MOST of the time this is correct and they are positively reinforced in their behavior. Maybe for my psychology class I will write about cats, lol...

Peace. Love. Respect. Meow.

Public Pajamas

Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Quiet Mouse Strikes Back, this is your  blog host, the enigmatic, one and ONLY Quiet Mouse!!
(by the way, I do NOT know who these pics are of, I just found them on Google, lol)

Today I want to talk about people that wear pajamas out in public. It has been recently brought to my attention, due to my attendance in college classes, how many people (especially women) wear their pajamas out in public.
It is not really my personal business what people do or do not do, but for the sake of my blogs, I feel the need to provide a certain level of social commentary from time to time. THIS seems to be a growing issue.
Here's the thing... I understand that people have hectic lives filled with drama and busy work schedules, etc... BUT... looking like you just rolled out of bed is REALLY TRASHY!! I don't think it really takes a whole lot of effort to throw on some jeans and a t-shirt rather than looking like you were rode hard and put away wet, OR go out looking like a Wal-Mart trailer trash reject. Perhaps you should keep your fat, toothless ass at home???
Besides the minimal lack of effort it takes to make yourself mildly presentable, I believe that there should be, or maybe there is a social faux pas about looking so lazily out in public. What is worse is that there are people who even pay a lot of money to look like they just rolled out of bed.

It is my belief that pajamas should be worn in the bedroom and NOT out in public. If you just can't get up in the morning, then perhaps you should go to sleep earlier??? Do your laundry???
There is one thing to wear sweats in public if you are going to work out, but the pajamas... REALLY?
Have these people just given up on being socially acceptable? The SAME people are generally the ones bitching and complaining because they are lonely and can't get a man... well, lady, that could be because you look like SHIT! You look like you just don't care!
Don't get me wrong, I am all about the naturalistic look of women, but there IS such thing as a personal standard. Some MAY look good with the pajama look, but the fact is that the majority of people look like dorks wearing their pj's out in public.

Another opinion would be that people stopped caring since so many people are OUT of work. But please understand this. Showing a little bit of self respect and dressing in some clothes that are not all wrinkled and shabby does wonders for your self esteem. Plus, people treat you differently based upon your appearance, or LACK THEREOF. If you look like a piece of crap out in public, people are NOT going to show you the same level of respect as if you are dressed for success and look like you are ready to knuckle down and be productive. This can be said of the work environment, social environment, and even the school environment. I firmly believe that the teacher will take your educational success more seriously if you look like you WANT to be there. This does NOT include wearing pajamas that make it look like you are ready for BED, NOT ready to LEARN.

To conclude, the POINT is to NOT look trashy. If you LOOK trashy, guess what? You're gonna start to FEEL trashy. Set yourself up for success, NOT failure by dressing appropriately for the given situation. If you are sitting around the house doing jack shit... feel free to wear your jammies and laze about freely. Places like Wal-Mart or the grocery store is NOT the place where people want to see your camel toe or love handles poking out of your pajamas. Dress like you actually CARE about yourself. You will be amazed at how much better people will treat you if you just ACT like a member of the same society as the rest of us who DO take the time to at least put on pants and a shirt. It doesn't have to be a 3 piece suit with tie to look good, but rather it only takes a minimal amount of effort. People just need to stop being lazy and TRY.
This has been the Quiet Mouse.

Inspiration ON DEMAND

Hello and welcome back to another blog from yours truly, the Quiet Mouse.
Today I am going to serve up a quick blog that I hope will inspire others to learn and go back to school.
This last semester (the winter term) I started back into college after a 14 year absence from the academic world. Believe me when I say that going to school at 31 is much more difficult than when I was 18, when knowledge seemed to flow and be stored that much easier. Not only did I start back to school, but I did it with emphasis and a high class load. I took 4 classes: Math, English, Intercultural Communications and Sci-fi/Fantasy writing.

I just got my grades back last week and was enthused to find that I made 3 A's and 1 B for a 3.8 GPA. This is the FIRST time EVER that I have made an A in English class!! That excited me by itself, believe me. However, I was even more excited when I found out I made the Vice President's honor roll. Out of the 15,000 students attending Clark college, only 1,033 made honor roll, so I am supremely proud of this achievement as I placed in the top 7% of all students this past semester.

Am I proud... YES! Am I gloating... NO!
I am hoping to inspire others that I know to reach higher and let you know that YOU CAN DO IT TOO!! Now don't let me fool you, this was no easy task. It took a lot of hours of studying, reading, writing papers and lots of homework. My point though is that after 14 years of being out of college, I DID IT! It took me turning off the television and putting down the cell phone, ignoring the lure of the internet for periods of time... all which were still available when I got my homework  done. I made it a point to NOT procrastinate and to do my homework FIRST, before play time. I like to work hard AND play hard. You TOO can do this if you put your mind to it. You TOO can go back to school and be successful whether you just want to gain higher education or switch up your skill set for a new line of work, NOW is the time!!

I would highly encourage ANY and ALL my readers to consider sharpening your minds (as well as your bodies) and to THINK about returning to college. I personally LOVE the medical field and have chosen NURSING as my vocation of choice. If this in demand field is NOT for you, then there are hundreds of other options... hell, they'd probably let you major in Playstation if you knew how to bullshit your way through it. Regardless of what path you chose, be it an engineer, nurse, photographer, artist, musician, computer programmer, or whatever you decide on, I firmly believe that it is IN YOUR HANDS and within your grasp to not only have a job that pays well, but also to have a CAREER and a VOCATION that you LOVE to do.

Wouldn't it be great to go to work every morning and ENJOY being there? Wouldn't it be great to LOVE your work so much that it didn't really FEEL like you were working at all?
All this IS possible. As I said before, it DOES take effort and determination, but is well worth it!

I hope that maybe this blog has inspired you to reach for the stars and find your own personal greatness!! I LOVE COLLEGE! I LOVE TO LEARN! I LOVE TO INSPIRE OTHERS!
This has been the Quiet Mouse.
