Public Pajamas

Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Quiet Mouse Strikes Back, this is your  blog host, the enigmatic, one and ONLY Quiet Mouse!!
(by the way, I do NOT know who these pics are of, I just found them on Google, lol)

Today I want to talk about people that wear pajamas out in public. It has been recently brought to my attention, due to my attendance in college classes, how many people (especially women) wear their pajamas out in public.
It is not really my personal business what people do or do not do, but for the sake of my blogs, I feel the need to provide a certain level of social commentary from time to time. THIS seems to be a growing issue.
Here's the thing... I understand that people have hectic lives filled with drama and busy work schedules, etc... BUT... looking like you just rolled out of bed is REALLY TRASHY!! I don't think it really takes a whole lot of effort to throw on some jeans and a t-shirt rather than looking like you were rode hard and put away wet, OR go out looking like a Wal-Mart trailer trash reject. Perhaps you should keep your fat, toothless ass at home???
Besides the minimal lack of effort it takes to make yourself mildly presentable, I believe that there should be, or maybe there is a social faux pas about looking so lazily out in public. What is worse is that there are people who even pay a lot of money to look like they just rolled out of bed.

It is my belief that pajamas should be worn in the bedroom and NOT out in public. If you just can't get up in the morning, then perhaps you should go to sleep earlier??? Do your laundry???
There is one thing to wear sweats in public if you are going to work out, but the pajamas... REALLY?
Have these people just given up on being socially acceptable? The SAME people are generally the ones bitching and complaining because they are lonely and can't get a man... well, lady, that could be because you look like SHIT! You look like you just don't care!
Don't get me wrong, I am all about the naturalistic look of women, but there IS such thing as a personal standard. Some MAY look good with the pajama look, but the fact is that the majority of people look like dorks wearing their pj's out in public.

Another opinion would be that people stopped caring since so many people are OUT of work. But please understand this. Showing a little bit of self respect and dressing in some clothes that are not all wrinkled and shabby does wonders for your self esteem. Plus, people treat you differently based upon your appearance, or LACK THEREOF. If you look like a piece of crap out in public, people are NOT going to show you the same level of respect as if you are dressed for success and look like you are ready to knuckle down and be productive. This can be said of the work environment, social environment, and even the school environment. I firmly believe that the teacher will take your educational success more seriously if you look like you WANT to be there. This does NOT include wearing pajamas that make it look like you are ready for BED, NOT ready to LEARN.

To conclude, the POINT is to NOT look trashy. If you LOOK trashy, guess what? You're gonna start to FEEL trashy. Set yourself up for success, NOT failure by dressing appropriately for the given situation. If you are sitting around the house doing jack shit... feel free to wear your jammies and laze about freely. Places like Wal-Mart or the grocery store is NOT the place where people want to see your camel toe or love handles poking out of your pajamas. Dress like you actually CARE about yourself. You will be amazed at how much better people will treat you if you just ACT like a member of the same society as the rest of us who DO take the time to at least put on pants and a shirt. It doesn't have to be a 3 piece suit with tie to look good, but rather it only takes a minimal amount of effort. People just need to stop being lazy and TRY.
This has been the Quiet Mouse.
Peace. Love. Truth. Respect YOURSELF and OTHERS!!

  1. It's about f***ing time someone said something about this asinine public fashion faux pas.

I don't care how broke you are, you can still afford to clean some decent clothes so that you don't look like you just got out of f***ing bed for Christ sake.

These people make me both disgusted and appalled to even be near them, EVEN IF I'M IN MY CAR AND THEY ARE WALKING DOWN THE STREET!

    Great blog, "Sir" Quietmouse.
