I've heard and seen a lot of slackers talk a big game. I've heard many complain, especially about being told what to do by their family, wife, boss, etc... but here's the skinny:
You can't complain about being told what to do if you are unwilling or unable to get up and do it on your own without being told.
This means that if you are going to make it to where your boss or parents or whomever has to COERCE or FORCE you to do something... then you have NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. Because, likely, you should have already done whatever it is on your own accord. Often, by the time someone has to step in and remediate the situation and tell this person what to do, it has already passed the point of niceties and formalities into demands and threats, meaning it has already gone too far in a negative direction.
Now here's the solution. Be proactive in your life. Take control of your actions, behaviors, and emotions. Do things without having to be told once, let alone repeatedly. And take responsibility for yourself and of yourself... past, present, and future.
