Presidential Debate

Against my better judgement, with request from my wife, I watched the Presidential debate on tv. I support neither candidate.

Namaste and welcome to another posting on my running blog The Quiet Mouse Strikes Back.

I don't think we actually have democracy in this nation. We are fearful, as Americans, and it shines brightly as our representatives  tell us we should quiver in fear of Iran, North Korea, and Russia (among others) and their weapons of mass destruction. Apparently that's our #1 concern according to both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

We have been raised to be elitists, as a nation, proudly patriotic as the National anthem plays, but afraid of the boogeyman around the corner. This fear runs the military industrial complex, keeps people voting in "the lesser of two evils" every 4 to 8 years.
Changing the status quo is scary. We're used to thinking we're #1. We're used to treating politics like we do football. It's very divisive. The Republi-bloods and the Demo-crips are portrayed as the only options by the biased media, who censors any real third, fourth, or more party competition to the pyramid scheme that holds the oligarchy on its' capstone. That's what the all seeing eye is on the back of your dollar bill. It's a reminder that no matter who you vote for, no matter which party you align with, and no matter what, the system wins, kinda like a casino.

Also, it's easy to cheer for a candidate blindly from the sidelines like we do with sports. Most Americans don't even know the REAL ISSUES, so they vote based upon petty things or biases like race, religion or religious beliefs they want to force upon others, or gender. Qualifications don't really seem to matter, this debate proved. Neither answered any real or difficult questions. Both pandered to their respective right or left wing nuts, leaving a good majority of citizens sick, stuck in the middle between Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb, respectively, as they continue to sling mud back and forth at one another, clever to avoid or distract away from real issues or public concerns
.
I have to be honest, I've heard my kids have a better debate in the back seat of my car than Clinton and Trump had last night. They reminded me of Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber, but no one really won the debate because we all lose when we are this poorly represented. Over 300 million Americans and this is the BEST we can do?!?

Democracy is in its nature the idea that everyone gets equally represented. That all votes count. That the will of the masses drives the nation, rather than the will of the few, the oligarchy, that are able to rig elections, buy votes, and sabotage a political movement like they did with Bernie Sanders.
The DNC is the opposite of democratic, and the Republicans aren't much better most of the time. Fear of opposition or banning other candidates to debate against isn't real democracy. Having to choose between a douche bag and a turd sandwich isn't really a choice. This is why so many people abstain from voting. That and we're not even sure if our votes really count for anything with all these Super PAC's, lobbyists, super delegates, jerrymandering (look it up), and electoral college bull shit, not to mention voter fraud, hacked servers, rigged electronic voting machines, and top-to-bottom systemic corruption, I would think we are INSANE as a society to keep voting for this shit. If you think Trump or Clinton are going to serve the working class citizens then you don't understand how the system really works.

Please, if you will, pop up another window to YouTube and look up George Carlin for me. Look up his schtick he does about voting. Clinton and Trump are both part of the club and you and I aren't in it. They both represent big business, Trump on a National level, Clinton on an international level, as she's gone pro at taking money from foreigners and institutions like the Council on Foreign Relations and United Nations to influence American policy against the will of the masses.

It obviously doesn't matter to the voters that Hillary committed treason as she violated the Espionage Act, repeatedly. Or that her favorite thing to say when someone asks a question is that she can't remember or recall that information. Doesn't matter she has been caught committing perjury under oath on countless occasions.
It obviously doesn't matter to the voters that Trump is a massive failure as a business person, that he doesn't pay taxes, or hold Mexicans, Muslims, women, or really ANY foreigners in high regard, which is ironic considering this nation is made up of a WHOLE BUNCH OF IMMIGRANTS and their descendants. He later goes off on a tangent about "stamina" and gets accused of snorting cocaine before the debate, upon its completion.

And all I keep thinking is "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME". THIS is the BEST we can do?!?
How about NEXT debate they talk about something that actually is going to BENEFIT We the people?
