Dear Democratic Presidential Candidates

Namaste and welcome to my blog, my friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read my thoughts.

Dear Democratic Presidential candidates,
I want to first say that I am a proud U.S. citizen and a proud U.S. Navy veteran. I, among many others, am hugely concerned with some of the rhetoric that has already begun circulating leading up to the next presidential election in just over a year.

This being said, the party has some serious problems that need to be addressed and resolved.

1) After the blatant fraud by the DNC and its former leader Debbie Wasserman Schultz in the 2016 democratic primaries where she admittedly cheated to help Hillary Clinton win the party nomination over Bernie Sanders.... how can registered Democrat voters trust that their popular vote for candidate actually gets the party nomination?

2) In-party-fighting, especially on the national televised debate stage is killing the chances of a democratic candidate winning the general election come next November. Trump is watching and will use the exact same talking points from the debates to "destroy" his opponent. Trump is NOT good with facts and logic, but rather stirring up emotions like anger and fear; he KNOWS how to work a crowd into mob thought.

3) Focus on the IMPORTANT ISSUES.
Any deviation from the issues into an emotional defensiveness will be perceived as weakness and will be exploited by 45 and his attack dog strategy. The issues are economy (to include trade/tarrifs/NAFTA/etc.), environment, healthcare, foreign policy (including war, occupation, troop withdrawal from the Middle East; keeping us from going to war with Iran), energy (reduce dependency on fossil fuels while transitioning to green, renewable energy technologies), and job creation (green technology) among other important topics like immigration reform, foreign policy and intervention, and education reform.

4) Diversify.
If the Democrats want to be seen as a party for the American people, then diversity is going to be paramount. Those of Asian, African, and Hispanic ancestry (because we are now all Americans); young AND old need to be brought in along side with middle aged white folks to form a coalition of the willing dedicated to getting this black eye, shit stain on our nation's history, OUT of the oval office and back to his cheeto-encrusted reality TV show.

5) Don't get backed into a corner.
One of the key points for Trump is this ridiculous notion that Democrats want our country to be freely overran by illegal immigrants. He will try to bait ANY candidate to make it sound like you will choose an illegal foreigner over a citizen rather than fixing the broken system that could make said illegal immigrant into a TAX-PAYING CITIZEN, helping rather than hurting our country.

6) STOP SAYING "FREE"!!! NOTHING IS FREE...
Taxpayers fund everything. The government is BROKE and has a major spending problem and cannot even balance a budget. Throwing around the word "free" is wrong on a lot of levels because it is a shift in paradigm that is bated and set up for failure. Having a clear defined approach to how we can pay for these things like affordable housing and college; living wages with insurance and benefits, while keeping a strong economy and defense force is how you are going to appeal to moderate voters. Promising what you can't deliver makes it seem like your running for high school class president vs. the highest office in the land. Stopping tax break loopholes, unnecessary wasteful spending on foreign aid, corporate welfare, war, and billionaire subsidies alone would create billions in additional money freed up to spend on infrastructure, education, and environmental cleanup/green technology.

7) The URSUR-ocracy will NEVER willingly let millions of Americans out of their billions in debt for student loans, medical bills, or credit card debt.
Ursury definition: "the illegal action or practice of lending money at unreasonably high rates of interest"
I.e. student loans, credit cards, payday loans, medical bills, etc.

8) Remember... this election is about individual freedoms vs societal and social wellness. When the focus is too much on the individual, society as a whole has sunk to new lows. We've all seen it. When society focuses too much on the group over the individual, we end up with fascism and communism. There must be a way to balance the desires of the individual with the betterment of society as a whole. The answer is to constantly seek out the middle ground rather than divisive far left or far right policies that hurt the majority of Americans.

9) Get a slogan that people can rally behind. Ally yourself with other candidates who could potentially be cabinet members of your all star coalition for your bid for the oval office. Be the party of the American working class. Build alliances with Union leaders and members. Bring in economic advisers that can help develop ways to not only create new jobs, but also bring back jobs that have been lost overseas to cheap labor markets life Malaysia, Korea, Mexico,  Indonesia, Vietnam, and China, for example.
WE, not me...

10) The ONLY real freedom that Americans have is CHOICE. We are NOT free from the consequences of those choices, but choice is our only real freedom. This is why it is so caustic and detrimental when Democrats get up on stage and start talking in ABSOLUTES. Like Beto saying "Hell yes we're going to take your AR-15." Like some plans to have 100% state run healthcare with no private option or all private with no public buy-in option. People want choice. If the alternative is more cost effective, environmentally conscious, and good for you and your fellow humans, then it's really a better solution than saying things like MANDATORY, PENALTY, and FREE. These terms are inflammatory and divisive and people don't want to feel FORCED to buy or give up something they don't need or want to...
Sometimes people even want to exercise their personal freedom of choice in a REAL and negative way, like cheating, doing drugs, alcohol, tobacco, binge eating, gambling, perversion, adultery, committing crimes, etc. If caught, they still will be held accountable for their actions, in many cases.

Well folks, that's about all I have to say about this subject, for now. I hope your day is well and you are a citizen committed to making our country better than the road it is currently headed down. We can affect change, but it's going to be difficult and frustrating, as we cannot convince everyone that taking care of the masses vs the massively wealthy IS what's best for the American people and their families.
