Quiet Mouse strikes back: Why Aren't YOU losing sleep too???

Welcome back my friends and fellow knowledge seekers. This is going to be a short blog, so I'm just gonna jump right in...

How do we sleep at night, as Americans? Am I really the only person losing sleep thinking about all the atrocities going on in the world? Especially the ones that WE, as a nation have caused. Our nation spends endless dollars on WAR, acts of TERRORISM, subsidies of big corporations, bombs, bullets, and bullshit...

Allegedly we have no money to pay for things like schools, education, social services, fire fighters, or the bleeding sore of lost American jobs due to technology and outsourcing.

THEN... we want to call out people of other nations that WE invaded and call them "terrorists" for defending their families and homes against US... Meanwhile... the politicians up on Capitol hill fight and bicker back and forth about who to blame, with seldom an actual suggestion to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. And when a good suggestion is passed out there to the politicians, they filibuster it to death based on nothing short of partisan lines, despite how good or beneficial it may be to the American voters/tax-payers.

Now the world has passed over 7 billion humans and we are facing a global food crisis and it is NOT a stretch of the imagination to look out your window and see America turning into yet another 3rd world country while the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Some of our cities, especially in the North that were once hubs of American industry look like Beirut or Baghdad with dilapidated buildings, entire sections of cities cordoned off with no inhabitants except the indigent and squatters.

I cannot speak for anyone but myself and I must confess that I am at a loss for words. I am a Navy veteran, proud of my service... but this isn't what I served my time for and I am pretty certain that many others did not sign up to be asked to murder innocent women and children in foreign lands based on lies and the systematic export of natural resources. There is a high cost to it all... and we STILL can't get any cheap fuel at the gas pump!! We invaded a nation full of oil and yet our prices keep RISING! WTF???

And I'm sure many police did not sign up to become armored riot police against peaceful protesters at "occupy" city assemblies across this nation of all of OURS.

Weather it is the "War on Drugs" (which is ONLY a war against the American people) or the "War on Terror" the effect and the psychology is the same. They treat EVERYONE like a criminal. Period. Then they have bullshit Homeland security bulletins saying "If you see something, say something" specifically a big-brother tactic to use citizens to spy on one another, on top of the nearly constant watchful eye of millions of surveilance cameras used to track our every movement. I know that freedom isn't free, but THIS is NOT what the blood, sweat, and tears of American citizens was meant to buy... NOT a militarized tactical police viper unit. NOT a bunch of fat corporate CEO's that mismanaged their money buy lending out invisible Monopoly money just to get a bailout. If every American citizen had been given a piece of that money, it would have been nearly $100,000 for every man, woman and child... that would have been a hell of an economy boost for US... and where has it gotten us? The banks just bought out smaller banks... they are STILL NOT lending US any money to start small businesses. The manufacturing industry, primarily automobiles STILL SUCKS!! I'd rather buy here from an American company, but the quality is shit... and this country is so filled with APATHY that we just turn our heads and look the other way while we are getting ass raped from above. So when someone asks me... hell yeah I'm one of the 99% looking up. I live on the poverty line. I DO lose sleep at night worrying about how the world is gonna be for my kids. No one puts out any effort because there is NO END IN SIGHT... The ONLY hope for change is if we can collectively pull our heads out of our asses and work TOGETHER for once. The purpose of this blog, like many others I do is to try to get people to WAKE UP! We are ALL part of ONE WORLD. We are ALL children of ONE god. The differences that divide us are ALSO the differences that make us diversified and GREAT!
