Hello once again my fellow friends, family, and knowledge seekers, I am your blog host THE Quiet Mouse!
Today I want to talk about a familiar issue to all of us who are in the 99% that are used and abused by the system we live in while the upper 1% are STEALING away the future of US and our country while living fat on the hog at OUR expense.
I am here to say emphatically TODAY that the system is irrevocably broken! There is NOWHERE for this nation to go but DOWN! The fat cats that are the TRUE figureheads of power and control are grasping for EVERYTHING they can get away from us because they KNOW that a revolution is coming... and it WILL be sooner rather than later. This IS the Titanic. We have hit the iceberg. The ship IS sinking. Are you gonna grasp onto the rail and pray for a return to the previous ways of Wall Street corruption as the global elite, bankers, lobbyists and consultants aim to steal away your 401k, IRA, college funds, and lifetime of savings?
Or are you gonna grab a life vest and start swimming before the rest of what you have gets sucked down into the abyss with everything else?
As we can see as a result from the 1980's, 1990's, 2000's til now is that "Trickle-down Economics" DID NOT and HAS NOT WORKED!! Giving tax breaks to the richest citizens and corporations has ONLY made them greedier and their tactics more forward and devious. They no longer hide in the shadows. They are out in the open with their greed. WE, the 99% are anonymous... we are faceless, we are powerful, we are one.
I am a veteran of the United States Navy. I am unemployed. I live off of my VA pension of $973 a month. I cannot afford to eat 3 meals a day. I have celiac disease and have special dietary needs, but cannot afford fresh fruits and vegetables. I had to apply for food stamps this week despite my own personal reservations. I do NOT want gov't assistance. I WANT to work in the field I went to school and was trained for: as a surgical technologist.
I AM a patriot to this nation, but this is NOT the American dream. I do not want to live like the people who hoard the money to turn us into debt ridden slaves to the system. I have simple needs. I pay child support. I just want to be able to take care of my children and have a little bit of money left over at the end of the month for basic food and recreation needs. And that is on TOP of the constant need for gasoline, the ever-rising cost resource, which nearly breaks the bank every month.
There has to be something better than this. I am PROUD of those who are able to stand up and use their Constitutional rights of peaceful assembly and protest against this greed and corruption that has taken place on Wall Street. I am truly ashamed of the policement of these people as citizens are being treated badly and beaten by those who took an oath to "SERVE AND PROTECT" the citizens of this nation, just for protesting against the inhuman and unequal treatment of Americans. Now they just are here to "Punish and Enslave."
The bad news is that the majority of those tasked with policing US are only 1 paycheck away from being part of US: 1 layoff away from being on the unemployment line, having to BEG for government assistance.
Where is OUR bailout? All the banks got theirs! And what did they do? They bought out all the smaller banks... aren't there anti-trust laws against those sort of corporate monopolies?

There is a disparity forming here amongst the people of this nation. Soon more and more Americans will lose patience with this government that is NOT on the side of the people. The politicians are too busy serving their corporate masters and sitting at their feet laying down like dogs. WE, the 99% are stronger than them. We have more people, more passion, more love, and more determination. We CAN make this nation great once again, but it WILL require sacrifice and it WILL get WORSE before it gets better. Put another hole in your belt and get ready to cinch it tighter. We will ALL have to give up so much. WE we only succeed in taking back this nation if we work TOGETHER... which we have done so poorly in the past. We can no longer count on the exploitation of one group of brown people or another to sustain the extravagance of the mega-rich elite. People of all races, color, creed, gender, etc. will have to come together and work together if we want to survive the oncoming storm. AGAIN, this will get WORSE before it gets better!!!
WAKE UP!! If you are reading this... YOU ARE ONE OF US! YOU ARE PART OF THE 99%!!
