It takes a village

Hello my friends, it is the Quiet Mouse once again.
It takes a village. What kind of image does that stir in your mind? Just turn off the television and open your mind. What do you see?
What I see is a bygone age where people all lived in a small tight nit community where everyone lived and actually worked TOGETHER for the common good of the community, WITHOUT STATE and FEDERAL ASSISTANCE. People actually CARED about one another. There wasn't this persistent WORRY about MONEY because EVERYONE contributed to a part of the process, everyone had their role. Some made the food. Some worked the stores. Some worked the fields. Some hunted or became butchers. Didn't really matter what you did as long as you actually did DO SOMETHING that was beneficial, not only for the self, but for the entire community.
I would like to see a time where people could go back to taking care of their own community rather than relying on money from big brother. Perhaps if people would FREE THEMSELVES of the repressed guilt and actually give back... perhaps.
Perhaps it is just too late since no one seems to care about the issues. As long as people get their CRAP and Starbucks...
Just something to think about...
Quiet Mouse signing out...
