Namaste and welcome to my blog, my followers, friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my thoughts. Today I want to talk about the hoax that is partisan politics here in the United States of America.
1. Forcing working class Americans to constantly choose between the lesser of 2 evils is just bullshit. Why do we have to elect bad or evil representatives at all?!? Shouldn't we elect leaders that actually give a rats ass and do their job FOR ALL the people, not just the wealthiest?!?
2. Quite simply, the MAJORITY of Americans are somewhat moderate. They lean one direction or another based upon certain biases, religion, morals, work, family, prejudice, etc. Divisive politics FORCE Americans to choose radical far left or far right ideologies that often INCLUDE those biases and prejudices, sadly. Often times an election will come down to feelings or (what people think are) key issues like reproductive rights, immigration, war and military issues including the VA, homeless and joblessness, crime, taxes, etc.
3. The majority of humans desire to work and be productive. No American, nor any other human should be forced to work multiple jobs, well over 40 hours a week just to barely afford the necessities in life and have a small amount of leisure. Americans want job security, living wages, health insurance that INCLUDES dental AND vision to go along with FULL comprehensive care at an affordable rate for the ENTIRE FAMILY; low cost prescription drugs.
NOT so some billionaire can buy his next yacht or mansion!!!
4. I honestly believe that EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM in the world can be fixed with more EDUCATION!!! The powers that be, quite frankly, want everyone to be FAT, STUPID, LAZY, APATHETIC, SCARED, and most importantly DISTRACTED... while they rob us all blind.
5. Most of the issues that people consider to be partisan are actually bullshit.
A) Abortion.
There are very few people in the world that are genuinely heartless and pro-death.
The majority of people don't believe the government should be involved in their reproductive rights at all. In ANY WAY...
In every single case where more education is given to the public, starting at a young age, with access to free or inexpensive contraception/ birth control/ condoms from places like Planned Parenthood there has been a DECREASE in unwanted pregnancies, abortions, and fatherless children being raised by the state. This is along with decreases in spread of sexually transmitted diseases/ infections.
Women want to have sanctity in their bodies that they make important decisions, with regard to health and safety, over their bodies and reproductive rights. NO MAN has the right to tell a woman that she must be forced to give birth to the child of her rapist or incestuous family member. There is no precedence to overturn Roe v Wade and take our country backwards instead of forward where we respect women's rights, their bodies, and their right to demand CONSENT.
B) Immigration.
Unless your red skinned flesh and bone Native American or descendant, then your family came here on a boat or plane (later on in history). We are nearly ALL immigrant descendants. It is the diversity of the United States that makes this land so wonderful. There are Irish, Greeks, Polish, African, Vietnamese, Russian, British, French, Australian, Scottish, Philippino, Samoan, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Korean, and so many more cultures that have integrated into the melting pot that is the United States.
We are NOT full in the sense of remaining habitable landmass or ability to absorb the working labor of foreign immigrants... We are broke!!! And full of racist, xenophobic, ethnocentric, and otherwise prejudiced people. To the world, please know that not all Americans are like that. There are many that are loving, empathetic, and willing to accept a hard working immigrant that is willing to truly become a model American and pay taxes INTO the system.
Our so called leaders have wasted so much money, time, and resources on tax breaks for the rich and a blank check for the military industrial machine, that we are falling short on funds to adequately support our schools... BOTH parties should agree this is a crime. We are falling short on funds to give adequate care and EARNED benefits to military veterans and their surviving family members... BOTH parties should agree this is a crime.
There is no hope for the American dream as long as the oligarchy is allowed to hoard the wealth of our country hostage, when there is an equitable solution in a Universal Base Income, Medicare for all, and we get those that are here illegally in-migrated, naturalized citizens and on the payroll paying taxes INTO the system that could use extra money right now to fund schools and rebuild roads and bridges.
BOTH parties should be able to agree on this.
C) Taxation.
No one likes taxation. The IRS is a private institution that works with the Federal Reserve and the government to take your tax money, a lot of which goes to paying back interest on the loans the government keeps taking from this private bank. You and I, our tax dollars are paying bankers to live like kings, all in the process of keeping the rich richer and the poor poorer. They are adept at this and they do it through high interest rates, loan disqualification, inflation, taxation, etc.
I think the majority of Americans can agree that our ridiculous rate of taxation on EVERYTHING is absurd. So why is it absurd to ask that we the people of the United States of America have the right to know where our tax dollars are being spent?!?
Why has there not been an audit of the IRS?
Why has there not been an audit on the Federal Reserve bank?
Why are we spending money on tax breaks for the upper 1%, foreign bribes, and bullshit wars when our elected officials can't even balance a check book?!?
This is our future generations being sold to bankers as collateral for future loans that someone else will be expected to pay back... that's called slavery, yo!
D) The 2nd Amendment.
No one is coming to take your guns away.
Just like with every other issue, this one will have to be fixed with MORE EDUCATION.
A gun by itself is an inert, inanimate object. A tool for the primary objective of creating destruction, violence, and death. But that is not always a bad thing. Often having armed guards in schools has dissuaded potential school and other mass shootings. Having a firearm at home makes many people feel safer in an uncertain world with many variables of the unknown. Television and social media have given a platform for these disgraceful acts of violence to get their 15 minutes of shame and it's repulsive.
Students and parents alike should feel safe with the school environment, free from harassment over sexuality/ identification, weight, etc.
The majority of Americans can agree on this.
The part that is more difficult is the limitations that can and should be implemented on the 2nd Amendment. No civilian needs an Uzi or automatic weapon of the sort. Those are military weapons and have no place on the streets of a civil society, let alone this phony Utopian society folks are believing this frustrated and struggling nation to be; nothing like it once was...
It's okay to say that we should do background checks to make sure the person desiring to buy this weapon isn't a criminal or psychopath/ potential threat to public safety.
E) Health care.
I work in the medical field. I can assure you without a doubt, that without some kind of intervention and cost control mechanism, the cost of health care in the United States is going to continue to skyrocket. The MAJORITY of polled Americans are in support of a government ran, taxpayer funded health care alternative to what is often inadequate private healthcare insurance with high deductibles, co-pays, and high prescription costs. There is no reason that in a country of such prosperity any man, women, child, lgbtq, alien, illegal immigrant, or whatever should be denied the human right of health care. It's disgraceful that every other civilized country gives this right to their people, regardless the cost. Here's the problem... lowering the cost of health care will require a few things...
1) We have to have the difficult conversation as Americans and ADMIT that the "Western diet" has been the cause of obesity, disease, cancers, diabetes, and a bevy of health illnesses and sicknesses. Our unwillingness to change is costing the sum of trillions of dollars in health care costs, lost man hours at jobs, and the grieving of families of loved ones lost prematurely.
2) In the effort to lower the cost of health care we actually have to turn the system around to focus, not on shareholders and profits, but on actual HEALTH care instead of the current SICK CARE scam. This includes but is not limited to talking about diet, exercise, prescriptions, preventative medicine, and end of life care for the elderly in order to PLAN their end of life to be able to pass with dignity and not be burdened with anxiety for their loved ones left behind.
3) We need a strong leader that will negotiate fixed price solutions to the pharmaceutical industry, adjusted with inflation, to provide for the American consumers health care needs. We also need a leader to hold accountable those who profit off the opioid epidemic, and now the benzodiazepines are becoming a medical issue in the same manner. Real solutions, civil rights
4) At first it may seem illogical, but it actually will lower the overall health care costs for our country as more people covered with care will see drops in things like STDs, communicable diseases, overdoses and other drug related sicknesses, suicides, and unwanted pregnancies.
Both sides should be able to agree on this.
In the end, believe what you want. The real battle and the real line of division is those who choose to hoard all the money, wealth, resources, etc. vs. those who have significantly less in life and struggle to get by with the basic necessities of life.
These are my humble observations and opinions. It won't stop, but understanding and trying to see things from different perspectives is a good place to start. This has been the one and only Quiet Mouse.
Peace. Love. Respect. Honesty. Empathy.
