Namaste and welcome back my friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers to the final part #4 out of 4 in listing my top 100 rap songs of all time. If you haven't already ready the previous 3 posts in this series, I urge you to do so now since I have compiled quite the list of top 100 rap songs.
I talked previously about influences of mine in enjoying hip-hop music, but now I want to expand on the current expansion and mainstream movement of rap and hip-hop into popular culture.
Video games are more popular now than ever before. Creating games like Def Jam Vendetta and DJ Hero expanded the role of this popular genre of music. Ice Cube lent his lyrical skills recently adding his track "Nobody Wants to Die" to the Mafia III video game soundtrack with a hot jam
YouTube also has had a massive impact on the spread of the hip-hop/rap genre, making it a daily thing with videos in the series "Epic Rap Battles of History" and SNL (Saturday Night Live) favorites Andy Samberg and his hilarious rap group The Lonely Island with hits like "I Just Had Sex", "Jack Sparrow", "Mother Lover", and "Dick In A Box", among others; often teaming up with other singers like Michael Bolton, Justin Timberlake, and Akon.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE ONE YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! #1
1. "Lose Yourself" by Eminem
I KNOW, I KNOW... a white dude at #1? YEP! There is a definite reason Marshall Mathers was artist of the decade between 2000 and 2010 and keeps pumping out new music, with a recent album release in December called "Revival". If anything at all can be said about Eminem, it is that he is indeed a polarizing figure. Hate him or love him, he is MY top artist on this list. There were many many other favorites like Lil' Wayne, Brother Ali, and Atmosphere that didn't get enough love, that I wish I had more room on the list for, but definitely wanted to spread it out a little as well.
