LEGOS For LIFE

Welcome to my blog. Today I want to talk briefly about the wonderful world of LEGOS.

What a versatile creation they created for the amusement of all. I've honestly never met a kid that didn't like LEGOS. Or even an adult for that matter. It is amazing to me, having grown up in the 80's and 90's how these small little building blocks have stood the test of time. I remember having castle, city, space, and pirate Legos, primarily as a child.

It astounds me how now there are so many more varieties and even stores at the mall. Whether you like Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Scooby Doo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Minecraft, Lord of the Rings/ Hobbit, architecture, trains, the Simpsons, outer space, any of the previous list, or many more varieties fit for all ages, like the Technic kits.
Lego now even has proprietary stores at the mall, in some locations, as well as a major theme park in southern California. A whole slew of multi-platform Lego games have been released in collusion with Travelers Tales (Tt) games since the era of the Nintendo Game Cube. So, yeah... they've been doing this gig a while, lol. No doubt more games will be made as the Star Wars saga keeps pumping out movies, with an expanded universe of prequels like Han Solo and Bobba Fett coming in the near future. I personally hope they will make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game with Travelers Tales as well.

If you like cinema, as I do, you probably have heard of the Lego Movie, which used the celebrity voices of Chris Pratt and Morgan Freeman, among others. The role of Batman from the first movie was reprised by Will Arnett, for the solo Lego Batman movie which was released in theaters earlier this year.

In conclusion, Legos aren't just meant for young kids any longer. Many people that have grown up with them in their lives continue to collect, assemble, and play with them as adults... especially those pricey collectors sets like the Death Star (as seen in the upcoming Spider-Man Homecoming trailer) and Imperial Star Destroyer. Some prefer just to have a blank building experience with no sets of instructions, only a box of bricks and a vivid imagination, the "Master Builders" according to the Lego Movie. I for one have always been a fan of creating buildings and space ships. Some prefer to mix and match the hands, shirts, pants, faces, and headgear of the little Lego minifigure dudes and dudettes. They even have Duplo Legos for really young kids that are too big to choke on than the smaller pieces of the higher age-range sets. Lego has even made a bold attempt to advertise more toward young girls with their fairy and female friendly sets. Lego itself is pretty gender neutral though, not discriminating in any way. The only limit is your imagination... or you can stay inside the box and follow the instructions to make hundreds, if not thousands of creations. Whatever your heart desires.

The last thing that I am going to say is to not lose the things that make you young at heart, and that includes Legos. To deny the things that bring us joy and happiness is to deny the very fabric of our own existence. You're NEVER TOO OLD get down on the floor or sit at a table and play with Legos. They are timeless and can be passed down from one generation to the next. There is NOTHING else that can compare to the endless possibilities of fun that exist with Lego.
This has been the one and only Quiet Mouse. Have a blessed day. Namaste.
