R.I.P. the Legendary Prince

Thank you for joining me today for this unexpected, untimely death of a music legend known as Prince.

I have to be honest and say that 2016 isn't a good year to be a celebrity so far, as there have been a number of deaths recently that seemed to come out of nowhere. I don't claim to be an expert on celebrity news, by any means, but the news was all over media today, so I picked up on a few details I'm going to share. Apparently, about a week ago, Prince was hospitalized for the "flu", however local radio DJ was reporting the hospitalization was due to a drug overdose. Upon stabilization by medical staff, it has been said, Prince decided to leave the hospital AMA (against medical advice) because the medical facility could not, or perhaps would not give the singer a private recovery room. His condition deteriorated rapidly and was found dead this morning.

This untimely death comes as a shock to millions of fans around the world and no doubt will have an impact on the music industry as well. No doubt we will see a tribute concert to his memory. It will be nice to see who will show up to showcase their renditions of Prince's classics like Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret, and Little Red Corvette, among others. Today is indeed a day of tragedy for the late 57 year old and countless followers. It was pretty groovy though listening to the radio play his classic hits all day. I think we will all party, forever, like it's 1999.

Cell Phone Gun

I'm not even going to try to make this a politically correct blog today. I'm the one and only Quiet Mouse. Let's get this started.

This issue is just flat out insane. Some dipshit took the time, money, and effort to create a gun that, to all outward appearance, LOOKS like a cell phone. The handle flips down like the way a gun's grip would be, then you could shoot someone.
Here's the problem, well, several...
We already have a major issue in this nation with Judge Dredd, self-appointed police officers that want to take the law into their own hands as judge, jury, and executioner of law abiding citizens. In recent years the American police, across the nation, has become more militarized with tanks, bulletproof armor, and the SAME lethal assault weapons they seek to take away from Second Amendment upholding citizens.  Thousands of citizens are gunned down in the streets, murdered by those who were sworn to SERVE AND PROTECT, NOT punish and enslave.
Now, lately, the likelihood of police on citizen violence has increased dramatically due to concerned citizens using their cell phones as recording devices, trying to avoid the Rodney King treatment. What concerns me the most is these violent, often ex-military, cops that are LOOKING for a reason to attack. This cell phone gun IS the excuse they have been looking forward to. Either one of two things is gonna happen, if not both.
1) Government will decide to suspend the citizens rights to record police with their cell phones, upon threat of punishment. Or...
2) Police shootings are going to increase as the police can justify shooting someone with a cell phone as "probable cause", claiming they thought it was a weapon.

In no way EVER was this a good idea. The Minnesota creator didn't think this clearly through. Yes, there is a history of weapons being made to not look like the standard pistol shape. I'm personally a HUGE supporter of the Second Amendment and don't think we should have to need special licenses beyond the RIGHTS afforded by the Constitution of the United States of America. I'm thinking that this hidden gun will only incite more violence, as too many people in this society and across the world are ALREADY TOO TRIGGER HAPPY!!! Guns should be used solely for the purpose of DETERRING violence (and hunting), and NEVER INCITING VIOLENCE!!!

SELF-HATERS

Namaste and welcome to the Quiet Mouse Strikes Back. Today I want to briefly talk about people who talk down about themselves, those with low SELF esteem.

There are literally MILLIONS of not billions of haters out here in the world. There are many of these haters who are ready, willing, and able to hate on you or I any time of the day. The haters aren't too difficult to find, they are quite literally EVERYWHERE.
Self-esteem is how YOU feel about YOU. The LAST person you need hating on you is YOU. Let the haters hate. It's their job. Kicking ass and being a one-of-a-kind original is YOUR job. Stop comparing yourself to these other jabronies trying to bring you down to their level.
You can be YOU. Everyone else is already taken. Don't let the insecurities, worries, and shortcomings of others get you down and feeling bad about yourself. You are stronger, smarter, and more beautiful than you give yourself credit for. The creator made YOU, unique as a snowflake, NOT to conform and fit in, but to break the mold and expand your own consciousness and evolve. Rock what you got and make up for what you don't. NOBODY IS PERFECT. There is a difference between perfection and realism. We are ALL flawed. So is our partner, our friends, and family members. We all are fighting our own demons and hopefully trying to make self better. It's NOT our job to judge one another.
If you aren't feeling it, sometimes you have to fake it til you make it. Haters gonna hate anyway. Your dreams, your goals, and your successes are dependent on YOU. Just don't fall into the trap of believing the lies of those wolves in sheep's clothing seeking to prey on your low self-esteem and take advantage of you.

Moral of this blog is that YOU have all the skills, talent, and smarts to kick ass and leave the haters behind. They don't evolve or grow, they just keep hating. So let them. You only need them to keep you motivated as you pass them by in the rear view mirror. Hasta la vista, baby.
