Namaste my friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers. Welcome to another exciting post for the Quiet Mouse Strikes Back. Today I want to talk briefly about a point of idiocy in some of the American logic.
My primary point today is about how at the age of 18 in the USA you are considered an "adult"... minus the maturity factor for most teenagers, the real age of adulthood should be at least 21, which brings me full circle to my overall point. Why is it that at the age of 18 you can legally smoke cigarettes, become a PORN STAR, and legally DIE for your country in the military... but you aren't allowed to drink alcohol by those same standards.
Who set these standards? Who decided that at 18 years old you are good enough to manipulate and use for porn or the military? What freaks me out is that there are always young people willing to do these things. Now I'm not saying that 21 is the end all, be all age for young people cause it's NOT. However, I do have a strong conviction that if you are good enough to DIE for this nation and it's preservation of freedoms, shouldn't we allow those same individuals a vice for their woes? Cause it's not really just the ability to go die, but also the ability to go to war and KILL others as well. Now we have 18-19 year olds with PTSD... and they can't legally get a beer.
Moving on, at 18 you are old enough to sell your body. Let's be honest, the ONLY thing different from PORN and PROSTITUTION is that there is a camera rolling. You're still getting paid for sex. Not sure how one is legal and the other is not, but that might be a topic for another blog. Meanwhile, you can dehumanize yourself, pimp yourself out, and swallow a bunch of huge cocks, or maybe be one of the stunt cocks... but you are legally not allowed to drink alcohol. WTF?!?
Lastly, I am NOT saying that I want a bunch of irresponsible teenagers running around drinking alcohol with loose inhibitions... we already have enough of that. My point was only the fallacy of logic that if you are old enough for some vices, perhaps the legal age for ALL of the things I mentioned should be 21.
It's a lot of food for thought and I thank you for joining me in this pursuit of deep thought and knowledge. This has been the one and only Quiet Mouse.
Peace. Love. Respect.
