Time For Another Super Bowl

Namaste. I grew up watching the Kansas City Chiefs play football on Sundays. My parents were and are still avid sports fans watching teams like the OU Sooners, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers. My brother and his wife like the Dallas Cowboys.

Several years ago I moved up to Washington and met my new wife Destiny and we decided to cheer for the local team. We have been fortunate enough to watch some good games on the television. We are more fortunate still that our local team the Seattle Seahawks are not just good, but are the returning Super Bowl champions. Tomorrow they are set out to face a good team in the New England Patriots.
I have to be honest though, even if it weren't my team playing tomorrow, I would STILL cheer against the Patties. Yes they are good, but they also get a lot of negative attention for cheating. The latest example is them deflating balls to have an advantage. Before that they got in trouble for spying and recording the opposite sideline calling plays.
In addition, I think Tom Brady, despite his skill is a cry baby on the field. He whines every time he gets hit by a defender from the opposing team. The league has changed the rules around him... just saying...

I'm sure the game tomorrow will be fun and enjoyable to watch. We get to see the Katy Perry Illuminati halftime performance which will no doubt be filled with occult rituals and ancient symbolism to distract the goy for a couple of hours while the real world leaders laugh at their marvel of sports entertainment.
Anyway, I'm gonna cook up some food and watch the game with my loved ones and cheer as the Seahawks go BEAST MODE and open up a can of whoop ass on the Patriots who are overrated.
Hope you enjoy the game. Please read some of my past blog posts and join as a follower too.

Refined Sugar Addiction

Namaste and welcome back to another posting for the Quiet Mouse Strikes Back. Thank you to all the friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers that have made this blog a success. I urge all my readers to read past postings as well as become followers of the blog. Feel free to repost and share as well.

Today I wanted to write about the abundance of products containing refined sugar products. It's in what we drink like Gatorade, fruit juices, and fitness waters, our bread, breakfast cereals and bars, yogurts, canned fruits and vegetables, and pasta sauce to name a few items. This excess consumption of processed and refined sugars are harmful to our body since they have no nutritional value and a LOT of negative health effects like the ones listed in the table above.
What's really shitty is that the companies that produce the refined sugar products KNOW that it is triggering the exact SAME neuro-receptors that are triggered by use of COCAINE. So quite literally people are getting cracked out on toxic high levels of sugar, the REAL GATEWAY DRUG for children. This sugar is highly addictive and needs to be cut back on in our society to curb the pandemic rising of obesity that we all have to suffer with.
In the end, however, we must as individuals strive to eat healthier and seek out to purposefully avoid excess sugars, especially those we KNOW like sweets (cakes, candy, and sweet snacks) and sugary carbonated beverages like soda and energy drinks. We need to exercise more and glutton less. All of this requires work and tenacity, a resolve of mind AND body to live a healthier lifestyle.

Buying In Bulk

Namaste and welcome back my friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers to another posting for the Quiet Mouse Strikes Back. If you haven't done so, I highly encourage my readers to become followers of this running blog post and to read over 200 of my previous postings.

Today I wanted to write about bulk shopping. It is not just for the extreme coupon moms any longer. There are many stores like Costco, Sam's Club, Cash and Carry, and Winco to name a few that you can buy goods and food in bulk. I have to say I'm a big fan of shopping in bulk. I don't really like going shopping all the time for the same things, especially like pet food and litter. Costco has both for a great one-time price that will last me several weeks for my kitties and puppy.
For food, there isn't really much better of a place here in the Pacific NW than WINCO. I mention this because I don't think a lot of people consider what it is they are buying when they shop at a regular retail grocer. You pay a LOT for packaging: the glass, plastic, or aluminium container your favorite product is sold in. It is much cheaper to buy a lot of things in bulk like sugar, chocolate, pasta, and especially spices which can cost a small fortune if you buy those tiny little aluminium containers one at a time. I have found that it is cheaper to buy a one time plastic shaker and then refill it once in a while from the bulk section at the WINCO. I'm a chef, so I have to save money on food where I can since it's expensive to feed my little army. I'm sure that many men and women, fathers and mothers out there can agree with the need to save money at the register.
COSTCO is also good because while you are there saving money on food and household needs, you can also get gasoline that is usually less expensive than comparative gas stations out in town. Basically it's a good idea to kill two birds with one stone if you are already planning a trip to buy at COSTCO.
So, wrapping it up I believe that buying in bulk is a good thing. You still have to shop around and see who has the best pricing, but between WINCO and COSTCO you can pretty much get everything you need for your home between those two places for the best price imaginable. If you are single and not having to feed an army then the regular grocery store will probably suit your needs better than the big box mart bulk shopping stores.
This has been the one and only Quiet Mouse. Shop smart. Shop well. Save BIG.

It's Another Happy New Year!!!

Namaste and thank you for joining me my friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers. Did you have a nice night staying up until late, drinking champagne, and kissing as the clock struck midnight?

I personally think that 2015 is going to be an excellent year, but one full of hard work, discipline, and trials and tribulations that will test the very might I am made of. Don't get me wrong, though. Even though it will be difficult, I also think it will be very enjoyable. My wife and I are starting a deli, we're going to take a cruise for a week to Alaska at the end of summer and there will be a smaller family vacation for the kids in between.
For those of my readers that have never been on a cruise ship and enjoyed the wonderful experience, I highly suggest you check it out and try it sometime... I GUARANTEE you will have a blast because there is so much to do, so much to eat, so many new things and experiences to try out... how could you not have fun?
I could talk about cruising for a while, but I want to move on and talk about 2015. Now a lot of people have already come up with a whole bunch of new years resolutions. Some want to get into better shape, some want to lose weight, others want to have a better relationship, etc., etc... Personally, I don't do resolutions because they aren't concrete. You can't just wish your way to happiness or better health. Most people don't have the commitment or fortitude to see these things through because it requires sustained and prolonged effort. This is why I think I will succeed, because I've never wanted anything as badly as I want this deli we are opening to succeed. Last thing I wanted this badly is my wife, and I married her, yes indeed. Every goal that has been set has been conquered. Kinda like Brock Lesnar's t-shirt mantra, 2015 is my "eat, sleep, conquer, repeat" kind of year. Unlike the WWE, in this reality, there is no one to stop me and my wonderful wife from achieving our goals. So like I said, I don't really need any hyped up resolutions that will just fall through in a couple months, my goals and aspirations are concrete and are based upon a complete lifestyle change that will benefit my entire family and our overall means of living, traveling, vacationing, and so much more.
I urge my readers to make these kinds of lifestyle changes rather than just a half cocked resolution that is doomed for failure. I guarantee it will be worth the difficulty and extra effort you must put in. This has been the one and only Quiet Mouse 420.
Peace. Love. Respect. Commitment.
