Growing Up Is Financially Difficult

Namaste and welcome friends, family, and fellow knowledge seekers. Thanks for joining me today. I want to take a moment to encourage my readers to not only read this blog, but look back on over 200 of my past blogs from the past 3 years. I would like to sincerely thank all my brothers and sisters from all around the globe who have read and shared my thoughts and opinions with others. My goal is to stimulate thought and dialogue through this series of discourses. Again, thank you to all for reading. Keep it up.

Today's discourse is about having a minimum living wage. I was reading articles online today and one stuck out to me and I felt the need to pose my own opinions about the subject for my readers (If you aren't already a fan, sign up on the main page to the right). It seems that fast food workers are striking in an attempt to raise their local minimum wage, which has then prompted government officials to try raising a "national minimum wage" across the board to around $9. This bill is D.O.A. in congress, with nearly no approval. Needless to say letting wealthy individuals make monetary decisions for those living in or are near to poverty is NEVER a good idea... but yet this is the system we appear to be stuck with; well at least for now...

Stepping back for a moment, I want to say that I'm not a scientist or economic strategist, however, I am pretty good at basic math and understanding abstract concepts, so I think I can make some logical debates here.
1) Non-qualified earners, such as those working in menial McJob's like fast food, with no college or technical training are NEVER going to make $15 an hour like they are picketing for: it's just never going to happen.
2) The CEO's of large corporations that thrive off of minimum wage, no-skilled employees, at companies like McDonald's and Wal-Mart,et. al are NEVER going to willingly give up their PROFIT MARGINS. Things like a living wage, insurance, and other benefits directly effect the bottom line AND the bonus potential the CEO has for buying YET ANOTHER house, car, vacation home, etc...
3) Considering the paper fiat currency that is circulating the market was all printed out of thin air and charged interest on... well, let's put it this way, the SAME people who print your money are also the SAME people who control inflation. These are the SAME people who have devalued the dollar by 97% since their inception/coup in 1913. Point is that even IF a minimum wage were increased, the RICH and POWERFUL would not stand for their slaves being paid properly, so they would just adjust the inflation rate higher so the $9 per hour minimum wage would now buy EXACTLY the same amount as the previous $7.50 wage did.
It's like going to a casino, but the FEDERAL RESERVE is the house. Win, lose, or draw, the house wins and YOU and I lose. The system IS set up for the failure and misery of the lower classes.

Now I live in Washington state. I found the above graph online. It is easy to see just on the first line that 1 adult CANNOT live by the income of a minimum wage job. There is a -$1.50 disparity just for 1 single adult, let alone the amount of money needed to support a family with a spouse and children.
ONCE upon a time, these menial paying jobs were well known for being what they were and MOST adults stayed away from them with a 10 foot pole. These jobs were previously occupied with teenagers, ex-convicts, and "minorities". NOW, however, it seems like you need a translator to order fast food...
"I fucking said a 'regular' Dr. Pepper... NOT DIET!!!" or "Large SPRITE!!! (Not french fries)"
Many adults are finding themselves being forced to work these jobs now as well, even after being forced out of previous work due to outsourcing, computer innovation, and flat out greed... all without their severance, pension, and benefits.

Moving on... there are several reasons that those with money and power want to keep the minimum wage low and it goes way beyond profit margins. You ready?!?
1) There is a war on against EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN CITIZEN. This war is being waged on many fronts and people are tired, scared, and confused. This is cultural programming at it's best. It now takes for most modern families, 2 incomes just to afford the BASIC life's necessities.
2) Women, elderly, and handicapped people are being forced into the market to find jobs because the cost of living has gotten so ridiculously high. This takes away from the jobs previously owned by teenagers and young adults and has been instrumental in destroying American family values, as women are no longer home to provide the necessary teaching, feeding, and home life that our country was founded on. This is in NO WAY derogatory to women, on my part (the corporate industry, YES, as they seek to exploit EVERYONE).
3) There is no way to dig out of the ditch and reorganize the system into a more meaningful and positive one that would be willing to pay equal wages for equal hours of work. In the eyes of those with money, power, and influence, YOU are a cash cow. YOU are only valuable for the service in which you can earn THEM MORE money, power, and influence.
4) For there to be a MINIMUM LIVING WAGE would have to mean that there was some kind of equality in the work force... and we all know that just isn't the case. For those living on poverty or near poverty wages it is FACT, not fiction, that there is a real and tangible discrimination starting from the TOP going down. The machinations of industry and power FEED on the low wage workers inability to get a better job, or fight back against the system. So we are stuck with people working FOR the system that oppresses them and often defending it and "just doing my job", which is the pathway to hell that has been paved with good intentions.

A minimum living wage sounds like a great idea. That would be humane and just. But that's just NOT the kind of world we live in, kinda dog eat dog is more like it. That's not our nature though... YES, we're all opportunistic, but we live in a social programming bubble that is mind boggling to me. This matrix of lies and illusions is so perplexing to me when the greedy desires of a political police state outweigh the basic humanity of feeding and clothing those who are the backbone of society. The ivory towers of the so-called "elite" are built on the blood and bones of the true slave-class, all to propagate the "image", the illusion, that a few un-electable, scrupulous, parasitic, and outright evil motherfuckers "OWN" everything, including US, those forced to work in their sweat-shops, on their free-range human farms, and in their offices and factories to earn little pieces of WORTHLESS PAPER, little letters of debt to remind us of who is the real master. But as I said, it's all a farce and an illusion... people have just been so ingrained, brain-washed, distracted with sports and television, and hypnotized into believing that THIS idiocy is how things are "supposed to be"... forgetting the err and cyclic path of history that shows us time and time again that ALL THINGS FAIL AND CRUMBLE. This fake society/economy will be no different, like the Greeks, Romans, Persians, Egyptians, Atlantians, etc., who have fallen before.

For now, I think it's a good idea to keep petitioning for higher wages. My best advice to my readers is NEVER STOP GROWING, both professionally and personally. If you want to make more money, gain more skills and make yourself more marketable. The system isn't going to change until it crumbles and collapses. Only God knows when that'll happen, so for now, be the best person you can be. WORK while you are at your job instead of playing on Facebook or texting on your phone. Your hard work WILL get noticed. And in the words of Stuart Smalley (for those who will get the reference) "You're good enough, you're smart enough... and dog gone it, people like you!"
So when you spend your slave wage money at these large corporations, just remember that there is a HIGH COST to those LOW PRICES... and it's usually the wages and benefits of the employees cut to afford those prices. This has been the one and only Quiet Mouse.
Peace. Love. Respect. Thought. Empathy.
